What is the UCSF Health System?

In October 2013, we completed a strategic plan for the UCSF Clinical Enterprise called “UCSF Vision 2020.”

Historically, we have used the term “UCSF Clinical Enterprise” as a description of all the components that comprise the clinical organization at UCSF, including UCSF Medical Center, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Clinical Programs from the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Dentistry.

With the implementation of the strategic plan, there are many important initiatives underway throughout the Clinical Enterprise to help focus our efforts on those that will be most beneficial to our patients and to our future.

As part of our transformation, we will no longer use the term “UCSF Clinical Enterprise” and instead will use the name “UCSF Health System.” This change signifies our commitment to operating as a true integrated delivery system.
